Lawyers who engage in meditation and other forms of contemplative practice report higher levels of satisfaction, both personal and professional. Researchers are demonstrating that the brain can, through meditation, re-wire itself to produce a greater sense of wellness, resilience and effectiveness among lawyers. (Dr. Emiliana Simon-Thomas, "The Lawyer's Brain and Meditation: Insights from Neuroscience," presented at Boalt Hall, Berkeley 2014).
This 2.5-hour workshop will offer basic instruction on meditation and practice techniques for quieting the mind through focus on breath and posture. Please be sure to wear comfortable clothes.
